Because I am their MOTHER and I can

Friday, I decided to have a little fun with the kids. I dressed them up. Juliette was Rainbow Bright and Jackson was Batman. Ok, ok not really "dressed" them up but dressed them up in a cute way. I had fun and they liked it so that's all that mattered. I dress them up "because I am their mother and I can", at least until they are 20, LOL! If I haven't said it lately I LOVE MY BABIES!!!!

Here is a picture of their fine looking daddy! Love you honey!

Swimming Lessons-Class 2 and 3

Well swim lessons are getting better for Juliette and worse for Jackson. Juliette is finally warming up but still very cautious. Juliette is starting to "jump" in the water with a little encouragement. Jackson on the other hand seems to be forgetting everything he knows and reverting back to not knowing how to swim. Jonathan and I seem to think Jackson sees everyone else in this class "scared" of the water so he is trying to mimic them. Its baffling. He still loves it but he requires more and more each class (not less and less).

Beautiful Day for the Park

A couple of Fridays ago (as well as this past Friday but pics taken on 19th) we enjoyed a visit to the park. I picked the kids up after work and Jonathan met us there. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the outside. The kids loved it! Both Jackson and Juliette love the swings, the slides are a near second.

Happy Birthday to NANNA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to NANNA!

Today is my mother's birthday. We wish her a wonderful birthday. We Love You!!!

Today is your Birthday and I thank God for you.

My Nana's Smile

Cradled in your arms,

Your smile shone down on me.

Wrapped in your love,

I knew who you must be.

Your smile bragged to all,

How you loved me so.

Each time you spoke my name,

Your face wore a Nana's glow.

You smile is my welcome mat,

We greet in shared delight.

We play like pals for hours,

Parting hugs are teary-eyed and tight.

Your smile is the icing,

That makes my young life sweet.

Snacking cake before dinner,

Secret bedtimes are our treat.

Your smile is my sunshine,

Even on a rainy day.

You find each ray of happiness,

Fading frowns away.

You've given me a treasure,

Your smile and all it brings.

Non- Irish Eyes are ASmiling

Happy St Patrick's Day. Of course I dressed the kids in green today (and me also). I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

This year's IRISH BLESSING:

May these walls be filled with laughter,
may it reach from floor to rafter.
May the roof keep out the rain,
may sunshine warm each windowpane.
And may the door be open wide
to let the Good Lord's love inside.

Look how much my babies have grown since last year. I have said it a million times before TIME FLIES and where does it go?

Swim Lessons

This weekend Juliette and Jackson had their first swim lesson of the season. Juliette's first ever. As predicted Jackson loved it and Juliette hated it. Jackson is a little fish. He loves the water, he always has. Juliette did not care for it at all. She cried for the first few minutes but she grew accustomed to it after a few minutes. I'll try and narrate the pictures for you. LOL!

First Pic: MOM, What is going on? You want me to do what?
Second Pic: Get me out, I hate it!!!

First Pic: Still not happy.
Second Pic: This is not my thing!

First Pic: Daddy is in the pool! FUN! (at least for a second)
Second Pic: I give up on crying because you guys are not getting me out!

WHO ME? YOU WANT ME TO JUMP IN THERE?!!!??

THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!!

FINALLY, my turn! FUN!!!

Look mom, I'm a starfish.
Learning to float (this is for whimps, so he thinks).
I DID IT!!!
And now you know how the story went! Stay tuned for the rest of the story over the coming weeks!

Finally, NICE Weather

I was starting to think I wasn't in the south anymore. Just to be clear I HATE COLD WEATHER. Being in the south we have mild winters (USUALLY) and hot summers. Well this winter has been COOOOLLLLLDDDDD, and did i mention I HATE COLD WEATHER. This is why i could not live up north, i am a winy when it comes to cold weather. Normally it doesn't get cold until November (and when i say cold i mean in the 40's). But the cold started in October. So it has been a long cold winter, i believe we hit some record lows and it has never snowed more then Twice a year but it snow more then three time last month. ANYWHO, you get my point it has been cold. With it being cold and oh yeah i forgot to mention we have also had record breaking rain. So yes, cold and wet, aarrggghhhh! So cold and wet make it hard for us to go outside and enjoy. Well this past weekend it was beautiful, temps in the 60 and sunshine. Still not as hot as i would like but good enough. Well wouldn't you know the kids were sick. (which is another rant I should go on, sickness). Friday/Saturday, Juliette had the stomach bug and Saturday/Sunday (plus this week) Jackson has a horrible cough and fever. But on Sunday I just couldn't resist the temptation of going outside. Plus my dad really didn't give me a choice, before i knew it the kids were outside playing with BunkBunk. We had a wonderful time. Even Monnie and Pappaw (My father's parents) came over to see you us. I think we tried out everything my parents have outside: playset, running around the yard, playing with push cars, sidewalk chalk (drawing and hop scotch), dogs, fishing poles, playing in the dirt, picking weeds aka flowers and of course them. We enjoyed ourselves, me included. The only thing i hate is that we didn't get to see Poppa G and Gran B (we didn't want to take the sickness over to their house.)

So thank you GOD for parting the clouds and rotating the earth. We enjoyed the wonderful weather.
