It was a beautifule spring day! The day started out with a Bridal Brunch given by myself and a family friend, Jamie Seldenright. Then the bridal party (girls) got ready with our hair and makeup. Then it was off to the chapel (Church on Navy Base) by 3pm for pictures. Can you believe that Juliette and Jackson made the entire 3 hours without taking off their clothes? Then the ceremony at 5:30pm and reception followed. The wedding was breath taking. Angelia wore an Eve of Milady Dress, stunning! We wore magenta and blue dresses, with spring flowers. Angelia made a beautiful bride. My mother did a wonderful job in planning and putting this shindig together in 3 months! I was the matron of honor, Juliette was the flower girl, Jackson was the ring bearer, and Jonathan a groomsman.

I took the following pictures, the hired photographer of course did much better then I!

Practice makes perfect. LOL! During the ceremony Jackson laid down on his pillow (the ring pillow) but at least he didn't move around. Other then he jumped in front of Matt to be able to see Angelia walk down the aisle. Juliette was able to sit with Jamie after her entrance.

This has been one busy year. But one of the most important events is that my baby sister, Angelia got married. She married her high school sweet heart Matt Thornhill on May 7, 2011. She is now Mrs. Angelia Thornhill.

Easter 2011

Easter was a blast. We colored Easter eggs, had a Easter egg hunt and enjoyed being with family. We even flew kites! The Easter Bunny must have been tired after he left our house but at least his bag was a lot lighter. Jackson got a scooter, sleeping bag, golf clubs and candy. Juliette got a scooter, sleeping bag and candy. I loved the sock bunnies the Easter bunny left, so cute! Thank you Easter Bunny (bock bock).

Before Easter as usual i dressed the kids in appropriate entire for school! Juliette with Bunny ears and Jackson in a purple shirt (since i had to tone it down for since there is a dress code). I tend to write a lot about what Jackson has going on. Its not that i intentionally try to write more about him. He is just older and has more organized events. All that said we have fun with our little one also! Ms Juliette is going to be one to watch. She has such a personality. She can talk up a storm and never shuts up unless you want her to talk. Her favorite thing to say is "I DO IT!" She is MS. Independent. She tries to do everything Jackson does and watches his every move. She is spoiled rotten and to tell you the truth i would not change that. We love you JUJU!!! I finally took her for her 2 year check up (yes about 4 months late!) I was late because i didn't want to take her during cold season and then i couldn't find a doctor i liked (which is a whole other story). So at 2 years and 4 months her stats are:

April 15 - Tim Mcgraw, Luke Bryan and The Band Perry

I was lucky enough to get to go to the Tim McGraw Concert. His openers were The Band Perry ("If i Die Young") and Luke Bryan. It was a great concert and when i say we got up close i mean . So close Sngeia could smell him, LOL! You ask how, well we have a great person behind the scenes, our dad. He let us get almost on stage. We had a great time. All three act were great. But the funny thiong is at the end of the concert they started playing rap music and everyone was leaving but Angelia and I keep dancing, LOL! FUN TIMES!!!

Jackson got to enjoy the air show that is held in Meridian every couple of years. He went with Bunkbunk and Aunt Ang. I didn't attend nor Juliette because it is to loud for me. But Jackson enjoyed it!

March 24 - Mr. Lincoln visits Lamar School

I again am playing catch up. But wow has it been a busy 3 months.

Jackson had a school project where he had to learn 2 facts about a famous "American" and dress like him. The person was assigned to each student by the teacher. As you can see we had Mr Abraham Lincoln (I say we because lets face it he is 5 and he can barely read, so mom and nanna did most of the work). Anywho, Jackson learned that Mr. Lincoln was the 16th president and that he is on a penny and five dollar bill. Nanna and I made the hat and beard. I bought the suit. So it was relatively easy but we practiced a week before so he could remember his facts. It was fun!

Rainbow day is what Jackson calls St. Patrick's Day!!

I enjoy dressing the kids up for any occasion, St. Patrick's day is no exception. We all had our green on (except BunkBunk and Angelia, they said we couldn't see it). Jackson was on spring break this week. So he got enjoy spending time with Nanna. As surprise Nanna and BunkBunk took Jackson to the "beach", Gulfport. HE had so much fun. They made the mistake of telling him a couple of days before they left and they heard "when are we going to be at the beach?" for a day straight until they physical arrived at the beach. LOL!!! That boy loves the beach, i have no clue where he gets that, wink wink. Mom and Dad said he didn't meet a stranger and he rolled in the sand.

Also Happy Birthday to myself (34) and my mom. We both had birthdays in March and i didn't get pictures at either occasion.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!! We did! As you can see the kids got candy and a couple of shirts. I had to go to Orlando (for work, boring) a couple of days before valentine's and included that loot into the valentine's stuff. My intent was to get a valentine's card out but that didn't happen!!!!

Once i got the bug to take picture it was hard to stop (at least in Feb). I got to take more pics outside and inside!!!

As you can tell January was real laid back we really did not do much but the same old same old. So I didn't pick up a camera much then. In the beginning of February i finally was having camera withdrawals so the kids and i went outside to play and take pics! It was a beautiful day. Jackson taught Juliette how to "swing". LOL! I love these pics. I can just hear Jackson telling Juliette about life and she is just taking it all in. I am truly amazed at how much the love each other.

OK! I am going to try and catch up. I know it is almost April but its never to late, RIGHT??!!!!

We started off the year pretty easy and lazy. Jonathan went to the Gator bowl for New Years and I stayed home with the kids! Jonathan had a great time mainly because we stomped Michigan 52 to 14. GO DAWGS!!!!

I also enjoyed New Years with the kids. We played, danced, and laughed. We also watched other people's fireworks. This was the first time that Juliette and Jackson both got to stay up until midnight. But at 12:10 they both were passed out in my bed, LOL!

I cooked black eyed peas on new years day! So that means we will have good luck this year, LOL!

Christmas 2010

WE ARE TRULY BLESSED!! This Christmas was filled with Family. And I loved it! We got to visit with just about everyone on my side of the family. We had four separate Christmas gatherings. Chris and Machelle got to come for a few hours and i enjoyed that. Wow how I miss my Chris and Barbra (I love you guys!). Then we got to have Christmas with Aunt Linda and Granny. Next was the visit with Santa's loot and Nanna and Bunkbunk christmas. Then we went to Monie and Papaw's and last but not least we had the Taylor Christmas. SO we eat for two days straight. But the bad part was Jackson was sick (he had a fever virius that turned into bronchitis). But it didn't slow him down much maybe to 90mph instead of 100. The kids got more stuff then i can list, they got everything they asked for and more. I (Jennifer) got a lot also as well as Jonathan did to. Thanks to everyone! We love you all!

A funny story, Jackson was opening a present from Nanna and it was in a white box. He looked at Nanna and said "Nanna you got me a white box ?!" Oh if he only knew how blessed he is!

Offical visit to see Santa

Well we finally made the official visit to Santa (two days before Christmas). Jackson as usual just about tackled him and Juliette went the other way. Jackson asked for Criss Cross Crash Hot Wheels, Computer Game and a Train. Juliette didn't speak a word to him so she sent him a message via brain waves (which begin like this "Stay away from me but when you visit the house I want a baby doll" LOL). She would look at him but not much for touching, sitting in his lap or taking a picture. So I had to get in the picture so she would participate and she still was not happy.

Polar Express 2011

It is that time of year again. The polar Express time. Since we have moved we had to make a trip over to Birmingham, and will do so next year also. It is so much fun. The kids enjoy it and I loved seeing their faces. Juliette still did not like Santa but she didn't throw a hissy fit. Jackson on the other hand would have jumped on his back and stayed there until it was time to go. He did get to give him a big hug. Cookies and milk was a hit as usual. This year we got in the train where the storyteller was and he sang songs. That made it more fun because it was better then listening to him over the speaker! I again can't wait for next years event!

Merrehope - Jackson's Field Trip

In Jackson's school the Field trips have to be driven by parents plus one. Meaning there has to be a driver in a car plus an additional adult. Since my car is messy, i volunteer to be the additional adult. The last field trip was to Merrehope. This place is beautiful and at Christmas they decorate trees through out the old home. Jackson has 15 in his class (which include 6 boys, wild boys). It was so cold. There are 2 homes one which is renovated and one in the process and the heat needs to be updated. But i think they enjoyed it, if nothing else then being away from school.

...how laden (I so lovingly say "lovely" instead) are your branches? DON"T ASK!!!! Since we are STILL homeless we are treating Nanna and BunkBunk's tree as ours. Well their Christmas tree is on its last leg and white it was no more (until BunkBunk re-flocked it) LOL!!!

We enjoyed decorating none the less. I enjoyed the family more then the actual decorating. Kids had a blast but were exhausted after decorating their two branches with all their ornaments. We had to redecorate after they went to bed to spread the wealth to the rest of the tree. I wish I could bottle up this time with the kids and Jonathan. I love them so much.

Breakfast with Santa

Breakfast with Santa was fast and furious. We eat, we saw, we conquered! LOL! Jackson was impressed but Juliette was thrilled (yeah right)! Juliette was the only child that screamed her head off! Jackson asked for a crash car (aka hot wheel's Cris cross) and Thomas train. Juliette was to busy screaming to care what she was going to get. Gotta love it! Juliette had Orange Juice for the first time and spit it across the table (oh how her GranB would be disappointed).

A "Cheesy" Gift from Santa

Santa sent Jackson and Juliette a early Christmas present. He sent them an elf. This elf is to report back to Santa on a nightly basis and give him a report on how they acted. BUT first you have to name your elf. We let Jackson name the elf (I might say all by himself no suggestions from us). And the winner was.............CHEESY. Don't ask where Jackson got this from but that was what he came up with. So we have an elf, cheesy, who is watching over the kids. And each night (sometimes in the morning) Cheesy finds a new hiding place.

Gobble Gobble 2010

We had a wonderful thanksgiving! Guy, Mitch and Lindsay got to enjoy Thanksgiving over at my parents house with us. So instead of eating big twice we ate twice as much in one sitting, LOL! We enjoyed their company as well as my side of the family. Jackson demonstrated his turkey moves for all to see. Juliette sang (or shall I say she instructed us to sing) Gobble, Gobble! We are truly blessed. I wish i would realize that more often. We are thankful for our family, friends, each other, health, wisdom and so much more. We continue to miss GranB but know she is in a better place. We hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving, we did!

Ok let the comments begin! I put Juliette in a pageant. Nothing big, as you can see it was at the mall in front of JcPenney. She was not thrilled but she did it! Other then her laying out on the stage she did good, HAHAHAHAHAHA! I think she is the most beautiful little girl in the world! She didn't win and we can say we did it! Angelia won the pageant in the spring so she got to give Juliette her prize. The other girl in the picture is named Taylor, i work with her Grandmother. Taylor is an expert in pageants at the age of 5.

November - A day in the park

Ok by now you are tired of seeing my kids in their costume but they (both costume and kid) cost a good bit of money so every chance we got we wore the costumes HAHAHA. But now for the main event HALLOWEEN!! Jackson was Woody from Toy Story and Juliette was a pink poodle! I would like to start off by saying we got A LOT OF CANDY!!! We enjoyed trick or treating. We started at Monnie and Pappaw's house, then Stonebriar (where we live) and finally Poppa G's neighborhood. One house that we trick or treated was having a party (very loud party) and Jackson said "Mommy let's go to that party!" What can i say the boy loves a good party, I hope that is not a sign of times to come! At the end of the evening (about 8pm) Jackson looked at me and said "I am ready to go eat some candy, let's go home!" So we did! The whole night Juliette screamed "More candy......PLEASE!" I am a bad mother and let them eat candy for supper. Juliette was literally running circles in the house, it was hilarious (for once she was more hyper then Jackson).

Fall Festival and Donuts-n-Doddling

WOW there are a lot of fall festivals. Both Juliette and Jackson had Fall Festivals at their schools. At Jackson's school they gave away toys instead of candy, but it cost. We had to take a baked good for the cake walk, Jackson and I made a pumpkin pound cake for him to take. When he won at the cake walk he choose what we made out of everything (and believe me there was a lot to choose from, because apparently i am the only won who made something, LOL). So that really warmed my heart that he did that. But he won it again and choose cupcakes the next go around. Angelia got to go to both events so we enjoyed her company.

Donuts and Doodling is at Juliette's school. IT is where they invite family to view the children's art work. I was the only one to be able to go but i still enjoyed it. WOW they really do a lot of art and I loved it all!!! She was very proud of her work and showed it to me by saying "MOMMY LOOK!!!" Then the next day they got to wear there costumes and have a party.

Pumpkin Carving

Since we are "homeless" currently (we have yet to buy a home in Meridian) we got to carve the pumpkin on Nanna and BunkBunk's back porch! Jackson loved bossing Jonathan around telling him how to do it, because he is almost 5 and he knows how to do it better, LOL! Juliette didn't want anything to do with it, that is until we bribed her with candy, LOL! Nanna made them their shirts, aren't they cute?!

BOO at the ZOO 2010

We enjoyed the Boo at the Zoo again this year. We had to go on Saturday this year, which i swore i would never do. But we got there when they opened so it wasn't that bad of a crowd. For some reason Jackson did not want to ride the train. We were exhausted so it was a quick visit.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We went to visit the pumpkin patch in Birmingham. It was a lot of fun. Both Jackson and Juliette had fun. Next year we are making the rule, "If you can't carry it ain't going home with us!" Poor Jonathan was a pack mule getting all the pumpkins back to the car. We got to enjoy the pumpkin patch, petting farm, cotton jump and the corn maze.

Mississippi State Football 2010

If you know us you know we love Mississippi State Football. Now that we are back in Mississippi it is easier for us to go to the games. This is one post of all the games so far (we only have one more we are going to after this). So needless to say it is going to be lots of pictures!!!! Both Jackson and Juliette can sing the song "Go State Go" Jackson can sing the tune. Plus they respond to "who let the dawgs out" by "woof woof". We love it! Jackson says "Go States Go" or "Go Stakes Go"
Jackson got to be on the jumbotron for the Chevron game (racing cars). Him and Juliette were running around and a lady walked up to me and said "Is that my son?" I thought for a split second should i claim him?! LOL! But I did and she proceed to ask me if I would let him be on the jumbotron. He didn't win but he didn't care, he got a car (which to him was winning)and a $10 gas card!

Now mark my words they will both end up going else where (probably Alabama) LOL!!!!

Meridian Fair

We attended the fair in Meridian. Since we haven't been in years it has changed. As a child I loved the fair it was a big event. I don't know if it is the fair has changed or me (I know I have but...). It was a first for Jackson and Juliette and both rode the Farris Wheel with their daddy because their momma wasn't about to ride that thing. There was a petting zoo which Jackson loved and Juliette hated!

We went to the Jackson zoo a couple weeks after we moved to Meridian. It was something to do! Not much there but we had a good time anyways! Plus it was an opportunity to take more pictures!

Jackson started a new school last month. We like it! It is a real big boy school. It almost breaks my heart that my baby is growing up. I drop him off at the front door and he walks himself to his class. Sniff sniff!!! But i am proud of him and for him!! Juliette start a new daycare and we love it also! Times are a changing!!

Last Weekend in Birmingham

This post is about my last weekend in Birmingham. We went to Tree Top Adventures. We had a great time. WOW I am going to miss Birmingham.

Busting a Move

Well if you haven't heard the news, WE ARE MOVING HOME!!! Thats right we are moving back to Meridian. I (Jennifer) was offered a job with Mississippi Power. We thought long and hard about this move and I truly believe it was the toughest decision we have EVER had to make. It is truly bittersweet. I am excited, nervous, overjoyed, sad and so on. We have made some wonderful friends in Birmingham and for that I am gratful. I will miss them but i will be back to visit. Please pray for us as we move the family and readjust to small town living. My one big concern is the children and how they will adjust. Even though I know this is in God's plan (I know because how everything played out) I am still extremely nervous! Thanks for the memories, Birmingham!!! HERE WE COME MERIDIAN!!!!!

My baby sister graduated from MCC this past weekend. We are so proud of her! She graduated in cosmetology. She will be great in that profession!! Congrats and We love you Aunt Angelia!

Hot(6) Flags Over GA

We went to six flags over GA a couple of weekends ago and it was H-O-T. (Also now I know why Atlanta is called Hot Lanta, because it was HOT) We wanted to do something fun with the kids but I believe we can put this into the stupid column. We had a good time but we spent a lot of money and stayed a short period because of the heat. The heat made EVERYONE cranky! So lesson learned!!!! Jackson got to visit his favorite, Thomas!!!! What more can I say. Oh once we did that he was ready, LOL!!!

Magician

It's time for a Jackson story!!!! The other day Jackson, Juliette and myself went out to eat with BunkBunk and Nanna. Well I asked Jackson what he wanted to be when he grew up and responded with a "Gician". It took us a few minutes to figure out what he meant and only after he told us "With a hat and a wand". Finally Bunkbunk figured out a magician is what he was saying. Then once we figured that out he said "YES". Then he said "I am going to Abracadabra Juju" (aka I am going to make her disappear). "Then mommy I make you disappear and you go t space and Juju goes to Mars" ONLY a 4 year old! I love that boy!!!!

SHRIMP (so many meanings)

Well we took Ms Juju for her 18 mo check up, ok we were a little late, more like 2mo check up. She is doing good. Her stats 22lbs10oz (25%) and 32in (50%) aka SHRIMP. The dr was not concerned about her weight. But we mentioned that she got a rash on her face when we had shellfish. So her pediatrician recommend we see an allergist. Well we went to see one and he ran the prick test on her. The prick test consist of little needles with the allergents on the tips and they stick him in her back. She had 24 pricks (they do the pricks in groups of 8) with allergents of shellfish, fish, dog, cat, grasses, mold and dust. WELL guess what she is allergic to SHRIMP!!!!! So the dr said to just watch her close when around shellfish. Since she is young they would not do further testing until she turns 3 to see what the severity is. But he gives us a prescrip for an epi pen. He was also concern about her dry skin or eczema so he gave us 2 special creams/lotion we have to put on her daily. So now we have to carry around an epi pen and apply daily cream. I guess the saying goes be careful what you ask for!

So as you can read and as Jonathan told Juliette last night, "She just doesn't like eating her own kind, SHRIMP" LOL!!!!

We made the best of our trip to Parrish, FL. It was a sad trip. We miss our Gran B tremendously!! She would have wanted us to enjoy ourselves and keep smiling. We got to enjoy Tampa's AWESOME 4th of July fireworks. The fireworks lasted 45 minutes straight, it was WOW!!!!!

SanDestin Family Vacation

SanDestin was wonderful. We went on Thursday June 17 till 26. It was beautiful every day we were there! Angelia and Daniel came from Friday till Tuesday and Mom and dad came Wednesday through Saturday. So we got to enjoy family also. It was a good vacation because we had no plans. Our schedule was: Wake up, Eat, Beach, Eat, Nap, Beach, Bath, Eat, Bed. In that order everyday! Jackson enjoyed the pool the most but finally the last day at the beach he finally rode the waves. The water was not to nice, too much seaweed. But it was better then seeing oil (small tar balls), which we only saw one day to which they closed the beach. We all enjoyed the peace ans relaxation! 18 months OLD

Our baby girl, Juliette Elise, is 18 months old. WOW! She is very active. She can say a lot (to much to list) but her favorite words are "Mommy" and "NoNo". She still loves Jackson the most. So it is definitely monkey see monkey do type of relationship. She is so sweet and LOVES to give hugs (not so much on the kisses). She is till teething and she is starting to bite kids at school (OH NO!). She loves to swing. She hates mandarin oranges (HATES THEM). Her favorite food is mac n cheese. HER FAVORITE thing to do is "read" a book. She will bring a book to be read and another and another to finally we have to tell her "no more books today" for which i feel bad. I am stumping her knowledge by not reading to her BUT when you reach reading at least 5 books enough is enough in one sitting. She is smart and can find things that are missing easily (because she is the one who hides them but at least she remembers).

To my baby girl:

Mommy loves you with all of her heart. God has blessed me with two wonderful children. You love your mommy because I can't leave your sight with out you screaming for mommy, but I absolutely love that. I have watched you grow and look forward to being your friend. Jackson's 4K-Graduation

I can't believe I am posting about this already!!! My baby graduated 4K last week. It was a cute program and Jackson did great!! They sang a song about the days of the week in Spanish and at the end Jackson held is arms out in a superstar poise, it was cute. He also broke away from the group and came and gave us a hug and a kiss during in the middle of everything! I only cried once and that is when they walked in. Next year he will go into their private kindergarten class. But then in 2011 he will going into public kindergarten (all of this because of where his birth date falls).

We are so very proud of him and wish him many future successes.

Jackson for the first time was a little nervous to begin with. I think he was just mimicking what the other kids were doing because once he got about 10 feet into in the exhibit he loved it! We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Atlanta. The rooms are great if you have kids because it has a living room and a bedroom. So the kids can run around and not be stuck in one room. It also has an indoor pool.

Mother's Day Weekend

Yes I am that far behind on blogging. This will be my attempt of trying to catch up, so there will be several new post.

Mother's day weekend we went to Atlanta. We had a great time. We went shopping (my favorite part), to the zoo, swam in the Hotel pool, enjoyed good food, and to the aquarium. We tried not to overload the kids so we only did one major thing a day then relaxed at the hotel the rest of the time. Jackson had the best time of all. Juliette really didn't care for the animals nor the fish but she enjoyed the freedom of running around.

Jackson and Juliette gave me a cute necklace with their names engraved on it and 2 pearls. I loved it!!! Jackson is always saying "Mommy, I wuv you!" Juliette is always saying "Momma, Momma". It is the best job in the world, albeit the hardest, being a mommy.

To my mom, I love you! Thanks for showing me a great example of a mom, you!

Last Soccer "Game" of Spring 2010

Jackson's last soccer game was a couple of weekends ago. We drove back from Meridian just in time to make the game. It rained all the way home so i thought it would be canceled for sure. But when we got there it was not raining but threatening. Jackson scored 4 goals. The first goal and last goal of the game. The last goal was because I told him if he played hard and do the best he could do we could go get ice cream. WELL he went into the game got the ball and scored then the bottom dropped out of the sky and it started raining. He ran over to me and said "Yeah we can go get ice cream NOW!!!" But we had to go to the indoor facility to get his medal before we went to get ice cream. I think this year he half way enjoyed himself. Maybe next year he will enjoy it more. YAY JACKSON!!!

Juliette - 16 month (almost 17month)

Again wow how time flies!!!! My baby is almost 17 month. She is growing like a weed and talking up a storm (not quite yet). She is talking. She can say dog, momma, dadda, ball, jack, bubba, hampton, more, shoe, mine, ah (her meaning NO),sshhh, hey, bye, nose, eye and she tries to repeat a lot. She is talking way more then what jackson did at this age. If you ask her what a dog, cat and duck says she can give the correct sound. She can identify head, eyes, nose, ears, hands and feet. She is so smart!!! She is running around ALL the time!!!

She has been sick a lot lately. In the past month we have had the croup, 1 fever virus, a stomach bug and we had are vaccinations! Her nose runs like a drip faucet so the dr has put her on Zyrtec once daily.

Her 15-16 month check up went fine. Her stats are as follows:

Length: 30.25 inches - 50%

Weight: 21lb - 25%

Her weight dropped slightly but that was because she had just gotten over the crop and was not eating (she drop a half pound in a week.) Dr was not concerned but said if she continue to be in the small weight we would have to start something to make her gain weight. She had to have 3 shots that day.

She is happy as a lark when she is playing and running around with Jackson. WOW how they love each other. We have been busy. The yellow outfit (12month size) below was given to Jackson by Gran B and he wore it when he was around 9 month. Well here is Juliette in it and she is 16 month. HAHAHAHA!!

Jackson is doing great in soccer, some days better than others!! Another mother told me that she just loved that Jackson sticks his tongue out when he is kicking a goal. LOL!!!! If you have read the blog you know i have pointed this fact out (him sticking his tongue out). I laugh because it has to be an inherited thing because Jonathan does it also. But I am glad someone noticed beside me that Jackson has this quirky habit! GO JACKSON!!!!!

This past weekend was Jackson first game of the season. We had to have a"PEP" rally for him to encourage him to participate. But once he started he only wanted to "Go Home" three or four times, LOL! Which is a vast improvement over last year. He did score 7 yes 7 goals. He did great. He loved when he had the ball but hated it when someone else has it. He celebrated his goals and got mad when he didn't have it. But all in all he did great. We had several looks because he is taller then almost everyone, hehehehe. I had to bribe him to stay the whole time with an Icee. GOT LOVE SOME ICEE!!!

Day Out with Thomas

This past weekend we got to spend "The day out with Thomas" We rode Thomas the train and enjoyed several Thomas activities. Jackson LOVED it. Matter of fact he did not want to leave. He throw a fit when it was over, but they were closing and so we had to leave. So we had to tell him that Thomas had to go to Tidsmith Shed to visit his friends Percy and Gordon. Plus he had to go to sleep. That seemed to help but he was still very unhappy and truly broken hearted. So when he woke up the next morning he asked me if Thomas was awake and could we go so him again. That boy has a wonderful memory (when he so chooses.) He has a true obsession with Thomas. I guess better that then a dramatic superhero. But if i had to guess if he ever has a son he will name him Thomas, LOL!!!!!

EASTER

We are blessed enough to be able to go home and enjoy our family. We enjoy spending time with them and the kids enjoy themselves also. We also have PLENTY to eat when we go home also.

The Easter Bunny made his stop at Nanna and Bunk Bunk's house. Bring lots of candy and fun toys. Jackson got a baseball glove, bat, ball, bubbles, thomas the train, and a stuffed bunny. Juliette got a Stuffed bunny, zuzu pet, Alice and Wonderland, bubbles and my little pony. Nanna and Bunk give Jackson a fishing rod and they gave Juliette a purse. GranB and PoppaG gave them Toy Story 2, candy (peeps) and a singing Minnie mouse. So the kids racked up!

We attended church that morning. Enjoyed a great lunch prepared by Nanna. Aunt Angelia hid Easter eggs for the kiddos. Fished with BunBunk. Then we visited with Poppa G, GranB, Mitch and Lindsay. This was all on Easter Day. Lots of fun just really busy.

Easter Egg Hunt

This year is the first year that Jackson (and Juliette) has been to an official Easter Egg Hunt. AND we did 2 this year. The first one was at Nanna and BunkBunk's neighborhood. This was the funniest and most enjoyable one. Both Jackson and Juliette had fun and found a lot of eggs. Jackson is so sweet he found him some eggs then he helped his sister. Once Juliette figured out that something was in the eggs she started opening them all up as she found them.

The second egg hunt was quiet different. It was a public Easter egg hunt in Meridian. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! I have learned my lesson and refuse to ever do that again. They split up the age group, which was a good thing. Jackson was in the age group 4-7 and Juliette in 1-3. Well when the hunt started everyone took off (including the parents). I guess Jonathan and I are naive enough to think this was for the kids, boy we were so wrong. Once it started I put Juliette down and before I knew it the eggs around her were gone. So I quickly figured it out and had a chance to grab her 3 yes 3 eggs. Jonathan was in charge of Jackson and Jackson got 1 yes 1 egg. The whole egg hunt was over in less then one minute. SO yes we got a total of 4 eggs. Let me also tell you that there where 100's of eggs across 3 soccer fields for Juliette and 100's of eggs across 3 soccer fields for Jackson. I looked up and it was a bunch of parents picking up eggs. It was disappointing and somewhat disheartening. Jackson was mad so i ended up giving him Juliette's eggs and then we left. Bully was there and Jackson usually will hug him but he was so mad he wanted to go home. I will NEVER EVER go to a Public Easter egg hunt held in the city of Meridian. Whatever happened to common courtesy or for that matter common sense. To all those people at that hunt "THAT EASTER EGG HUNT WAS FOR THE KIDS AND NOT FOR YOU GRUBBY HANDED ADULTS!!!!!" We should have clued in when we saw PARENTS and their kids carrying walmart bags as THEIR easter basket! I use to be proud to call Meridian home and remember great things about that place. But it seems the more I go back the more I am disappointed. So sad!!! With all that I didn't get but 5 pictures because the hunt was over in less then a minute.

Friday, I decided to have a little fun with the kids. I dressed them up. Juliette was Rainbow Bright and Jackson was Batman. Ok, ok not really "dressed" them up but dressed them up in a cute way. I had fun and they liked it so that's all that mattered. I dress them up "because I am their mother and I can", at least until they are 20, LOL! If I haven't said it lately I LOVE MY BABIES!!!!

Swimming Lessons-Class 2 and 3

Well swim lessons are getting better for Juliette and worse for Jackson. Juliette is finally warming up but still very cautious. Juliette is starting to "jump" in the water with a little encouragement. Jackson on the other hand seems to be forgetting everything he knows and reverting back to not knowing how to swim. Jonathan and I seem to think Jackson sees everyone else in this class "scared" of the water so he is trying to mimic them. Its baffling. He still loves it but he requires more and more each class (not less and less).

Swim Lessons

This weekend Juliette and Jackson had their first swim lesson of the season. Juliette's first ever. As predicted Jackson loved it and Juliette hated it. Jackson is a little fish. He loves the water, he always has. Juliette did not care for it at all. She cried for the first few minutes but she grew accustomed to it after a few minutes. I'll try and narrate the pictures for you. LOL!

Finally, NICE Weather

I was starting to think I wasn't in the south anymore. Just to be clear I HATE COLD WEATHER. Being in the south we have mild winters (USUALLY) and hot summers. Well this winter has been COOOOLLLLLDDDDD, and did i mention I HATE COLD WEATHER. This is why i could not live up north, i am a winy when it comes to cold weather. Normally it doesn't get cold until November (and when i say cold i mean in the 40's). But the cold started in October. So it has been a long cold winter, i believe we hit some record lows and it has never snowed more then Twice a year but it snow more then three time last month. ANYWHO, you get my point it has been cold. With it being cold and oh yeah i forgot to mention we have also had record breaking rain. So yes, cold and wet, aarrggghhhh! So cold and wet make it hard for us to go outside and enjoy. Well this past weekend it was beautiful, temps in the 60 and sunshine. Still not as hot as i would like but good enough. Well wouldn't you know the kids were sick. (which is another rant I should go on, sickness). Friday/Saturday, Juliette had the stomach bug and Saturday/Sunday (plus this week) Jackson has a horrible cough and fever. But on Sunday I just couldn't resist the temptation of going outside. Plus my dad really didn't give me a choice, before i knew it the kids were outside playing with BunkBunk. We had a wonderful time. Even Monnie and Pappaw (My father's parents) came over to see you us. I think we tried out everything my parents have outside: playset, running around the yard, playing with push cars, sidewalk chalk (drawing and hop scotch), dogs, fishing poles, playing in the dirt, picking weeds aka flowers and of course them. We enjoyed ourselves, me included. The only thing i hate is that we didn't get to see Poppa G and Gran B (we didn't want to take the sickness over to their house.)

So thank you GOD for parting the clouds and rotating the earth. We enjoyed the wonderful weather.

If you are from Meridian you know Music Emporium. The owners happen to be good friends of ours, mostly Jonathan but i claim them also. Jonathan worked there during High School and some of college. I believe it has been his favorite place of employment (if only it would have paid that also, lol). He and Aislinn were and are in a very close knit group of friends that all went to high school and for the most part college together. So when Jonathan got the email from Aislinn that the legend was closing Jonathan was sad and knew that he was going to attend the farewell party. Well we did and it was great to see everyone but sad to say goodbye to such a wonderful place.

I had a wonderful birthday all due to my wonderful husband and kids. I got a CHOCOLATE cake from Edgar's, YUMMY and a dozen roses! I also got a pair of shape up shoes (reebok brand) that I asked for. Jackson gave me the sweetest card, i loved it so much I cried upon reading it. Thank You, Jonathan, Jackson and Juliette!!!

The cake was enjoyed by the whole family. BUT I think Juliette liked it the best, LOL!

Today is my birthday!

I just wanted a chance to post some pictures of me and the kids. Yes, I did dress Juliette up for my birthday, I would have Jackson to but he has to wear a uniform.

Fireman Birthday Party - Mack's

This weekend was pretty low key. We attended one of Jackson's friends birthday party. It was at a local fire house. Jackson enjoyed it. It brings back memories for me. If you didn't know I come from a long line of firemen (Grandfather, Dad, uncle and cousins). So growing up my dad was at the fire station every third night (off 48hrs work 24hrs). So even though i didn't grow up in a fire station I knew my way around, and they all are very similar. Jackson had a great time getting to climbing all over the firetruck. Juliette had a fun time just being outside. We are so ready for spring. I am glad we got to spend some time outside.

Weekend of Visiting

This weekend was filled with spending time with family and friends. I had a baby shower I gave a good friend of mine. Some of Jonathan's family came to visit.

The baby shower was for Shannon, a friend i have had since high school. I think the shower was pretty and fun. I have never claimed to be a girly girl. But i have to say what i did turn out pretty good. I made some BLUE punch which was cute and good. I also ordered the cake, mmmmm. I think Shannon enjoyed herself and she got lots of stuff. Congrats Shannon and Josh on your upcoming arrival, Caleb. My mom did the monogramming on the outfit and bib, she is good.

Jonathan's family came up to see BJ. But we enjoyed seeing them also. Grandma, Cousin Elisa and Fred came to visit. It was fun to see them. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures, i tried to enjoy the time with them. Jackson loves to go over to the "Gators" house. In these pictures he is playing with the Disney World Monorail they gave him. The Gators got the monorail at Disney World when we all went this past September and gave it to him for his Birthday. It is pretty impressive and they love watching him enjoy it.

Valentine's Day 2010

We had a wonderful valentine's. We just enjoyed being with each other. I love my family!!

Jackson got Thomas Puzzle and DVD, gloves, candy and a pound puppy.
Juliette got a play hammer, a book, sunglasses, pj's, and suckers.

Yes that is Jackson is Christmas PJs. LOL!!

Snow Day

Living in Alabama we don't see a whole lot of snow. So when we do get snow its a big deal. Well it snowed Friday, last week and the kids' school closed, so we had a snow day at home. We didn't get a lot but enough to play in and enjoy and it was gone the next day. (Mississippi got A LOT more then us).

It was snowing pretty hard. Juliette wanted to go outside and see what it was.

Trying to eat the snow, even Juliette got in on the action.

Changes to BLOG

Well, Jonathan and I have discussed rather or not to make this blog private. BUT I am still up in the air on this issue. BUT we have decide to take some precautions. You may or may not notice you can no longer copy photos off the blog. I don't mind for people I know to have pictures of my kids so if you would like a pictures please email me (or leave a comment in the comment section) and I will be more then happy to send it to you. I have also installed controls to be able to see who is viewing the site (behind the scenes). I know this is paranoia but I have just heard way to many horror stories lately. This is not meant to scare people from viewing the site just a way to protect the family. In the end we may decide to go private but I will let everyone know at that point. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for understanding.

John Mayer Concert

We went to the John Mayer Concert last night, we being Jonathan, myself, my mom and dad. We had a good time. But it also proves I can't party like i use not that i use, a lot). WOW it was loud. The concert started at 8pm with the opening act and John came out at 9:30. Ok, let me just say usually by 9:30 I am in bed or getting ready for bed. JM sang mostly his new stuff, so it was not what i expected. It was good but he just didn't play a lot that i could sing along with. When i go to concert I love to sing along, that's the best part. Jonathan enjoyed it more then any of us. Mom liked it but dad was less them impressed. We had good seats, we sat on the floor row 21, so we were close (the pictures don't really show that). But being on the floor of course you don't sit, so unless i knew the song i was sitting (and was keep company by my less then impressed dad). We got home after midnight. Funny part: Jackson sleep in the bed with Jonathan and I, so mom and dad could have his room. I turned the monitor off in his room and thought i turned it off in ours also. Juliette is getting a cold so i figured she would whimper/cry off and on all night. The couple of times i went into check on her, after hearing a cry, she was a sleep so i covered her back up. Well this morning at 6 am I hear a cry and I go in and rock her and then put her in our bed. So the whole family is in our bed awake and playing. Well about 5 minutes later we hear a baby cry, at which point Jonathan looks at the kids then me and says "What the he!! is that?" Well I had not turned the monitor off I had changed the channel. So all those baby's cries I heard was not Juliette. So needless to say i had very little sleep last night and am exhausted.

Oh another funny part. During the intermission Jonathan and I started talking about the Dr who delivered Juliette (Dr Hudson). I just love him, he is so sweet. Then I looked up and there he stood (yes Dr Hudson). I waved thinking he will not know who I am but he recognized me and waved back and asked where the baby was. haha. I immediately laughed thinking that is his standard question. Because let's face it he delivers a lot of babies. I asked my mom if she recognized him and she said no and i told her that is the man who delivered Juliette, she laughed (laughing because he looks younger then he is). When the concert was over he walked up and hugged my neck and introduced his wife to me. To avoid any uncomfortable pause I introduced myself by name to her, because let's face it again he has a lot of patient and what makes me any different, plus come on I had my clothes on, LOL!!!!!(this is suppose to be funny so i hope you are laughing). If you haven't figured out my Doctor is on the young side, I think he is 37.

Oh and I forgot my camera. I guess if it doesn't involve the kids the camera is a distant thought. Mom got some good video on her phone, i just have to figure out how i can get them. So here are the limited pics I got with my cell phone. I look fat but i am blaming that on the angle and the camera. Believe it or not we didn't drink, just goes to show my theory on blame it on the camera.

"Make me a HEART"

To start Heart Week off. I thought I would share a story/symbol of love. Jackson is constantly striving for Jonathan and I praise, which i hope we give. Lately little Mr. Jackson has been getting in trouble at school (lord be with us.) He can't seem to sit still or keep quiet. So we have started giving him a quarter in the mornings and if he is good during the day he gets to keep his quarter and put it in his reward container. After he has earned 10 quarters he gets to go to the store and get something (he will decide within reason). Well we have been working on getting the 10 quarters for 2 weeks now and we have only gotten 6 (so out of the 10 school days he has keep his quarter 6 times, 60% take rate, LOL). Well the other day he finally got a quarter after a couple of bad days and so I was praising him and he looks at me and said "Mommy make me a HEART." This is our special way of showing my love for him and he shows back to me, I do this a lot but at that time he said it something clicked in my head. The click was, this simple gesture means the world to him and it shows him that i love him and am proud of him. The shape of the heart is made by putting your thumb and index finger together in a curve form. I try to tell him I love him no mater if he is good or bad. If i haven't said this enough I LOVE MY BABIES.

At the end of each day I say a silent prayer as I walk into daycare that Jackson will have earned his quarter. I never thought I would ever pray to GOD for a quarter, LOL, but I'll take what I can get!

Well I finally got around to sending thank you notes out from the kid's birthdays (back in December). But at least i did it! I took Juliette's pics myself and Cathy put together the layout. I was very pleased. Can anyone believe my babies are 4 and 1? Thanks to everyone for celebrating the kid's birthday.

Circus Jan 10

We went to the circus today. It was the best circus we have seen in Birmingham. The theme was a train and back to the basics. IT was great. Last year it was more like an artistic circus (plus they wore skimpy outfits). This year they got back to what a true circus is suppose to be (and most of the performer got the memos on appropriate clothing, LOL). Jackson's favorite was the Motorcycles and elephants. Juliette enjoyed all the colors. We had a great time. It was the first time in a week we have gotten out due to Juliette having Roseola. We had a great time!!!
