Relaxing Weekend

We just hung around the house this weekend. We bought Juliette a swing and Jackson a Beach Ball Sprinkler. So we tried out the new toys. It was SOOOO hot we did not stay out long. But I think they both enjoyed there items. Juliette was sleep so she almost fell asleep in hers.

This was taken right before he stuck her head in the water, LOL!!

Sad Day for My Generation (80's)

Today is a sad day for children of the late 70's and 80's. Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett passed away.

I know one day Jackson and Juliette will listen to Micheal Jackson and it will be "oldies" to them. He changed music. I absolutely loved him as a child. I think my favorite song of his is Thriller, but i really loved them all. He was truly "The King of Pop" (1958-2009)

My dad LOVED Farrah. He has always told me I ruined his favorite shirt. When I was a baby (around 9 months) they had just feed me beats and Dad picked me up and was playing with, I the proceeded to throw up beats all over him ruining his Farrah shirt (it had a picture of her on it.) (1947-2009)

RIP......Michael and Farrah

Father's Day 09

WOW we had a busy weekend (as you can tell from previous posts). We spent time with our (Jon and Jen) dad's. Jackson learned how to fish with BunkBunk and got to swim with Gator (aka Poppa G). Even though we concentrated more on the GrandDads then Jonathan I think he had a good time.

If I haven't told everyone what a great DAD Jonathan is let me tell you now. Jonathan is a WONDERFUL dad. He loves his children and they both love him. To Jackson, Jonathan is the person who hung the moon, the person who invented all sports, ice cream and jellybeans, his personal superman, and the "teddy bear" who tucks him into bed most every night. So as you can see Jackson knows his daddy is the best. Juliette lights up when Jonathan walks into a room. I truly believe God blessed us with a wonderful man who happens to be the WORLD's best dad. To me, Jonathan is my rock, my best friend, the love of my life and most important the person who loves us with all of his heart.
Happy FATHER's Day!

Jonathan's 15yr High School Reunion

This past weekend we went to Jonathan's 15 yr class reunion. They had a family picnic for lunch and an Adult dinner at night. We enjoyed seeing everyone. I am also posting a picture that was taken of Juju at the reunion (isn't it sweet).

CUTTIE PIE

"All Aboard"

Last week Nanna came to visit but with a fun trip in mind for Jackson. She took him on a train ride (a real one)- Amtrak. They went from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa on Friday. I picked them up and went on to Meridian. But he was so excited. We really didn't tell him ahead of going because he will ask about it and drive you crazy about when he is going. But he loved it. He keep saying "Mommy, i ride a chocho train....chochoooooo!" I think Nanna enjoyed it also (more of the being with Jackson then the actual ride). Mom said she thinks he enjoyed the pull down tray and foot rest the best, hhahahahaha.

Juliette's 6 month Check up

We went last Thursday for Juliette's 6 month Check up. She is doing great. She has a cold (runny nose, cough and sneezing) but it seems to be getting better and it had not turn into an ear infection, yeppie. She is 50% for all measurements:

25 3/4 inches Length
16lbs 2oz

So she is becoming a little chunky monkey (as you can see), hehehehe. She did well with the shots. Again, Jonathan goes so he can hold her down for the shots because i cry also (I am a whimp). No fever this time after shots.

I took some picture this time. The lady with Juliette is her and Jackson's doctor, Dr Darby. The bare (not quit naked) pictures are her before shots. The picture of her a sleep in her pumpkin seat is about 30 minutes after the shots.

Jackson's Swim Lessons

Jackson is learning how to swim like a big boy. The class was wonderful. He really learned A LOT. It was suppose to be a 2 week class BUT since he busted his chin open the first day of class we had to shorten the class to 1 week but for 2 hours instead of 1. Due to the 2 hours straight, when he got home he was hungry. We are still working with him because he will not put his chin down so he tries to swim with his head up therefore, his bottom sinks. So now we play the chin down game. Just whenever i think about it, i say "chin down" and anyone who is listening (mom, dad, Jackson or anyone who knows the game) puts their chin down. This way when he hears it in the water he is already programed to put his chin down. It seems to be working. There were 2 teachers of the class. The main one was Ms Lynn, who is in her 70's. She has been teaching for years. I think Jackson got a lot out of it. He really loves the water. Now if we can just talk someone into building a pool (NANNA and GRANBUNK). Hahahaha, yes one of the pictures we caught him in the act of using the great outdoors as his potty (I posted the less obvious picture, LOL).

Birmingham Zoo

We went to the zoo this past weekend. It was a beautiful day. I don't have that many pictures due to my camera battery died when we were there. (I know it just about killed me but i survived by taking pictures with my camera phone). We had a great time. Jackson enjoyed all the animals. He named the camels "Kurt". His imagination is growing by the minute (a story for a different post). We rode on the train and he loved that BUT Juliette did not. She was ok until we went into an area where it got dark (forest and tunnel) then she started screaming. That is when everyone looks at you like how dare you bring that baby on this train but they give you the "aaaawwwwwhhhhhh". Jackson also played in the water area they had, with a bubble area. When we left everyone was tired and we only did half day (oh lord what will Disney be like in Sept).

Juliette actually sleep in the "new" stroller. I actually found the stroller at a garage sell a couple of weeks ago. I had been telling Jonathan I wanted a new stroller but double strollers are VERY pricey, especially when you have one child who will not ride that much in it anyways. I wanted the jogging type. WELL I got very lucky!! I only paid $60 for a $250 stroller, It had been used but in very good shape. Well worth it. Jackson looks like a monster in it compared to Juliette but the stroller does it purpose. I believe both children enjoyed it, we had to talk Jackson out of it a couple of times to see the animals.

Juliette Happenings

Well I haven't post much about my sweet little girl lately. She is getting big. She is 6 months old now and just as cute as ever. We think she is teething because it has been ruff lately. She has started on the fruit and LOVES them. Here she is eating pears for the first time.

Check out her new highchair. This was our first purchase (big item) just for her. Other stuff came from when Jackson was a baby. Jackson did not have a highchair because we used a space saver seat (which goes in a regular seat). We deiced she need one because Jackson still likes seating in his seat and we didn't want to take it away from him.

She is doing well. We go next week for her 6 month check up. So I'll have her stats updated. She is gaining some weight, LOL!!!
