Spring Soccer 2009 - We Did It!!!

Finally Jackson decided to play soccer with the others. Of course this was the last game of the season. But we are SOOOOO very proud of him. It was a process with a very steep learning curve. I think he enjoyed himself, once we figured out that we could not "force" him to play. So we would take him to the "games" and he would play on a field with just him and Jonathan but this past weekend he actually played with the others!!!! There was only one stipulation we/they had to play with his ball, hahahaha. He got a medal for his participation. Again we are proud of his effort. I enjoyed watching him, when he would do something "good" he would always look over to me, smile and give me a thumbs up. I would then yell for him with a lot of praise and recognition (I am sure the other parents thought i was crazy). A couple of times he ran over to me to give me a kiss and then back to playing. I love that little boy and think he loves his momma. He still is going to soccer class on Tuesday night, but this is to keep him active and to have an outlet for some energy.

GO JACKSON GO!!!!!!!

Oh i almost forgot. The previous weekend we got our first sports related BOBO. But it wasn't when he was playing with others. He was walking to the game and fell. Then he made it worse when he fell when he was playing with Jonathan. He wanted to keep it covered so noone could see it, so he held his shorts over it! POOR BABY!!!

Juliette's 4mo Check up

We took Juliette for her 4month check up yesterday. She is right on track. We got a good report. Can you believe it has been 4 months (actually more)? Wow how time flies!!!!

Her Stats:
24 and 3/4 inches Long (75%)
13lbs 7.5 oz (50%)
Head Circum 25%

As you can see she is growing like a little weed. I knew she had had a growth spurt but wow. The Dr says she will probably go back down to the 50% next time in length because that's where she has consistently been before.

She also received 4 shots and the rotovirus oral vac. She was fine yesterday but woke up this morning with a fever of 101.5. So she is home today with Jonathan.

Dr also said she needed to start sleeping through the night, that there was no nutritional need at her age in the middle of the night. She told me to let her cry it out and that in 3 or 4 nights she would be broke of the habit. We will see. LORD, please give me the strength that I need to do this. For some reason i am having a hard time in letting things like this go, i keep saying she is not ready when i know she is. The dr also said we could start her on foods. To start with cereal then work our way thru veggies then fruit. BUT she said we didn't have to start right away just before 6 month. But we give her cereal at night (in the bottle) anyways (shame on us for starting early, hahahaha). I guess we will start the veggies sometime in May. Does anyone know how to slow up time, because my baby is growing way to quick? I know this is a blessing but before i know it she will be 3 like Jackson and he will be six (OH NO). Then they will both be in college, aaaaawwww, i must stop this. I love my babies!!!! Please say a small prayer for us as we listen to a baby scream during the middle of the night ( we will see, wink, wink).

above pic "THIS IS YOUR FIRST WARNING, I AM READY FOR MY BOTTLE"

15 Minutes later(or less) after about half of the bottle.......ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Player Player

HAHAHA!!! We were told by Jackson's Teacher that he has a new "girlfriend". My first question was "A NEW girlfriend?" and "What happened to the OLD girlfriend?" The response was "oh yes Jackson likes all the girls". Jackson holds his new girlfriends hand when they are playing. Her name is Linley. The teacher then informed me that the old girlfriend, Campbell, is still played with just not holding her hand. I was also informed he prefers the girls with Dark hair and Blue Eyes. I guess it is true you try to find a mate that looks like your momma, hahahahaha. Then the other day Jackson has started making Jonathan take him to the "big" potty before going into the class where he greets his new girlfriend.
On top of that the other day at soccer practice Jackson keep holding a little girls hand. It is funny to watch him in action. Our son the player!!!

Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter. We went to Meridian and visited with a lot of family. WOW i really miss living around my family. The Easter bunny visited the kids in Meridian. Jackson got some T-shirts (Spongebob squarepants, Phineas and Ferb, and Toy Story), candy (a lot of it) and a soccer goal. Juliette got a bunny, teething rings and a baby doll. Jackson dyed eggs with Nanna and GranBunk. He played baseball with Poppa G and Uncle Mitch. He hunted Easter eggs with Aunt Angelia. Juliette was held by everyone. So as you can see were very busy. Enjoy the pictures, there is a lot of them (hehehehe).

Easter Bunny

We went to visit the Easter Bunny. If you remember last year (or go check out last year posting in March) Jackson HATED the Easter Bunny. The picture we have looks like the Easter Bunny is eating Jackson, quite funny. This year he was not quite sure but after me forcing him to touch the Easter bunny he figured out that it wasn't a big deal. We thought it was going to be packed, considering it was the Thursday before Easter at 6pm. But there was no line, no waiting, we got LUCKY. Jackson asked for a soccer ball. Stay tuned to see if he got it (like you have to ask). I will post Easter pictures in the next couple of days.

Jackson's First Dentist Visit

We took Jackson to the dentist for the first time. Let me tell you they have really changed the atmosphere at the dentist office for children. We went to see Dr Joby Hurst. He was very nice but his office was the most impressive. You walk in and there is a playroom in a nautical theme. The playroom has a light house play set and boat you can seat in. Then when you go in the exam room in the middle there is a large fish aquarium with "Nemo" inside. The seats are large and yellow, they call them the banana seats. The hygienist gave Jackson sunglasses for the "special" light and let him chose what tooth brush ( Winnie the pooh theme characters), floss ( decorated with buzz lightyear or nemo) and fluoride flavor (cookie dough, strawberry, or chocolate- he choose strawberry). He did great, who wouldn't it that atmosphere. He got a good report. They told us to start flossing, which i quickly replied with the question "How do you floss a 3 yr old teeth?" she responded with put him on the bed and start teaching him. HAHAHAHAHAHA, i guess she never has had to hold a three year old on the bed to floss his teeth. Anyways, the doctor said everything looked good, no stains or cavities! He was given several prizes including stickers and a coin for the treasure tower. He choose a plastic goldfish. Why? I am not sure but that is what he wanted. We start going every 6 months now!

Juliette - 4months Old

Juliette is 4 months old today. WOW how time flies. She is really growing. She has been sick this past week with the crud and because of it she developed an ear infection. At the Dr she weighed over 12lbs. A friend of mine (thanks Kari)started to list the number of things they don't want to forget about her child or milestones they reach(4 things for 4 month) each month. So I am going to try and do this.

1. I love her laugh. Jackson is really the only one who can make Juliette laugh out loud. And usually he isn't even trying to get her to laugh.
2. I love that she loves her mommy. I know she loves Jonathan but she prefers me and this is total opposite of Jackson. If i am in the room she will fuss until i pick her up.
3. Juliette loves to "talk." She has the sweetest babble.
4. Juliette is a morning baby. She is so happy in the mornings. She wakes up smiling!!!

Look how much she has grown!!

4 months (17 weeks)6 weeks

Here is Juliette talking to me!!! (Sorry a little long, but sweet.)

A Day with Thomas the Train

We went to see Thomas the Train this past weekend. It was a nice. The weather was perfect. Jackson had a great time.

Thanks to Nanna (and the book she gave Jackson), we all know the Thomas song. Jackson loves this book and he makes us sing it almost every night. Even GranBunk has gotten in on the action of signing the songs.

"There's Two, there's four, there's six, there's eight
Shunting Cars and hauling freight
Red and Brown and Green and Blue
There the really useful crew
All with different roles to play
Round Tidsmith Sheds or Far away
Thomas and his Friends"

Applause welcomed!!! HAHAHA!! As Jackson says "Thank you, Thank you" as he bows.

Who Do They Look Like?

Well i finally got arround to getting baby pictures together. Everyone is around the same age (give or take a month)3 months. So who does Jackson and Juliette look like? I can see both of us in them but Jonathan can't deny either one of them, hahaha.
